Introducing: The Trade Report
Plus: Improvements to website navigation and Blue Chip Hot List alerts
Good morning,
As a reminder, Brown Technical Insights is off this week for summer vacation. The next report will be on Monday, June 3.
While we are off this week, I want to quickly announce some changes to how the Brown Technical Insights content is broken down and delivered.
All of these changes have been made based on feedback I’ve received and the sole goal is streamlining the content and making it easier for you all to navigate and find what you need.
Let’s get into it!
Dedicated Trade Report publication
Going forward, all ETF model commentary and trades will be published in a dedicated email called The Trade Report, which will replace the first Overtime of each month.
This means models will now trade on the first Tuesday of each month (versus the first Monday) and a separate email will allow for focused commentary while keeping the structure of The Monday Morning Playbook identical from week to week.
Blue Chip Hot List Alert emails
In a similar effort to keep the MMP concise and uncluttered, Blue Chip Hot List alerts (either stop-loss violations or profit-taking) will be sent in a separate email before the market opens on Monday.
Removing index restrictions for the Hot List
Previously, our universe of stocks was components of the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Nasdaq 100. With the recent addition of risk classifications, I no longer see the need to keep the universe so restricted.
We won’t be dabbling in penny stocks but this will allow for potentially higher risk/reward stocks in the small and mid-cap universe. All holdings and new buys will be marked as conservative, moderate, or aggressive based on their historical 5-year beta.
New “Models and Stock Picks” tab on the website
Finally, all of the changes above will allow subscribers to more easily navigate and find the current ETF portfolios and up-to-date Blue Chip Hot List with a dedicated tab on my website. By clicking the “Models and Stock Picks” tab shown below, readers will be taken exclusively to publications that feature changes and current holdings.
I hope these are welcome improvements and give everybody something to look forward to next week.
These changes are effective immediately, meaning the Monday Morning Playbook will not include trades on June 3. The inaugural edition of The Trade Report will be on Tuesday, June 4.
See you all next week!
